Frequently Asked Questions
Where am I located?
I live in South Minneapolis, Minnesota! If you ever see someone walking a Siberian Husky and Great Pyrenees around Lake Nokomis, come say hi!
Where do I travel and is there a travel fee?
I will travel throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Venues located outside of a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis will require a travel fee.
How long have I been coordinating?
I have been in the wedding industry since 2012 and started coordinating weddings in 2016. What started as a fun hobby has turned into an amazing career!
Who will be coordinating at your wedding?
Hi, I’m Alexis (owner and lead coordinator), and I coordinate all events from the beginning of setup to the end of the night clean up! Assistants are available for additional help for rehearsal coordination and decorating on the day of your wedding if needed.
How many times will we meet before the wedding?
Before the wedding, we will meet for our first initial consultation, a timeline discussion when you are ready, a venue visit around 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding, and the ceremony rehearsal (you pick the time & date!). Additional meetings for planning questions or decoration direction are also available if needed. The more involved I get to be in your wedding planning, the better!
When is the final payment due and what are the payment options?
Final payment is due on your wedding day, but you are welcome to take care of payments along the way! You can make payments through Venmo, Zelle, PayPal and check. Email me at alexis@rosewoodweddingsmn.com for more details.
How do I know if a wedding coordinator is right for me?
Wedding coordinating (also known as “Day of Coordinating") is the perfect service for couples who enjoy planning but know they won’t have time on their wedding day to make sure everything is perfect while not wanting to ask family members or friends to work on their wedding day. A wedding coordinator acts as an investment for your wedding day! I’m going to make sure all of your wedding plans and financial investments come to fruition, while you can relax and soak in all of the moments of your day. Feel welcome to read reviews from our past couples on the Testimonials page to learn more about their experiences and see if wedding coordinator makes sense for you!
Do you have a preferred vendors list?
Of course! If you are looking for recommendations for any vendor, such as fun DJs, fantastic florists, or delicious desserts, please email me at alexis@rosewoodweddingsmn.com.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
Am I allowed to say all of it? I love setting up place cards in a meticulous way, pinning boutonnieres on to jackets, watching the nerves and excitement that build up before the ceremony, having a private moment with the bride before they walk down the aisle as we literally shake off the nerves, the moment when the couple walks down the aisle after the ceremony and say “oh s—, we did it!” with huge smiles on their faces, the special moments between families and friends during speeches or dances, and then the bittersweet hug at the end. Can you tell I love what I do?
